LETTER FROM THE
PRESIDENT - The OVRHA show season is about to
begin and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again at Henderson
Arena in Jackson, OH. This year, as you know, our year end awards
banquet and silent auction will be held during this show weekend on
Friday evening. Details can be found in this newsletter and on our
website. Sue Flynn and Madelon Ramsey have some great awards for
our class champions and reserve champions
and Skip Rulen and Kelly Pinkston will be in charge of the meal.
The silent auction has always been one of our biggest fund raisers for
our shows so plan to bring your checkbook to bid on some of the great
items we will have up for bids. Sue Flynn and her helpers have
been busy getting trophy sponsors for our weekend shows. Getting
our trophies sponsored is a huge help in the funding of our shows.
If you would like to help out, contact Sue and let her know how you
would like to help. I would also like to ask for our members to
volunteer for some of the many jobs required to keep our shows running
smoothly. If you can work the gate, help with paid warmups, drag
the pen, unpack trophies, etc., please let me or any of the board members know. I
would also like to encourage our members to share any ideas they might
have to make our shows and our club better. We tried several different things
last year and hope to continue to do so in the future to help make our
club and our shows some of the best and most fun and family oriented shows anyone can attend,
but in order to do this, we need the help and ideas of all the
membership! See you this weekend!
