| LETTER FROM THE
PRESIDENT - I would like to congratulate our
new officers for 2008. Thank you for reelecting me as President.
Rick Ramsey is Vice President, Jen Van Cura and Kim Switzer are
co-Secretaries, and Kathy Lopp is again our Treasurer. Contact
information for each officer is on the website.
Sue Flynn is heading up our Fund Raising Committee and she is asking for your help. We are trying to obtain sponsors for all our trophies for each of our shows this year. This is a big expense for our club and having all the trophies paid for can be a huge savings for us. Get creative and go together with a group of show buddies to sponsor a class! Go to your local feed or tack store and see if they won't sponsor a trophy. And please, don't hesitate to contact any of our Officers if you have any ideas to help make our club and our shows the best they can be! As you know from the show calendar, our Derby show dates have changed to May 9-11. Rick Clark, Clarks Pump N Shop and Kim Rose, Jividens Farm Equipment have teamed up and are co-sponsoring this show. They have each contributed $5,000. We also have an anonymous donor who has generously donated $2000. We would like to get another $3,000 to put toward this show to make it our biggest Derby ever. This makes the added money for this Derby nearly $40,000! Good luck to all our members in the upcoming show year! See you soon!
