LETTER FROM THE
PRESIDENT - We're heading into summer now, the
Derbies are starting to wind down and it's about time for the Futurities
to begin. Good luck to those of you who have 3 year olds getting
ready for their debut this year. Our Snaffle Bit Futurity
sponsored by John Clark Oil and Clark's Pump N Shop to be held on August
5, 6 & 7 promises to be a great one. Don't forget the Sam Smith
Clinic this weekend. A few slots are still available and you
may contact me to reserve one
rickcl@bp1.com. This is a great fundraiser for our club as
well as a great opportunity to learn from one of the industries top
professionals. The cutoff date for declaring your affiliate to be
eligible for the East Coast Affiliate Championships is fast
approaching. July 1 is the deadline so if you haven't done so, go
to http://www.nrha.com and download
the form, fill it out with OVRHA as your affiliate and mail it in!
Wouldn't it be great if we could win the team championship the first
year the show returns to Ohio! We still have some class
sponsorships available so any member who still wishes to donate
class trophies please contact me or one of the other committee members
mentioned in this newsletter.
