LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT -  Our first show of the season is now behind us and we had an excellent turnout and a great show!  I would like to thank all of our volunteers, whether you manned the gate, ran the drag, helped at the entry booth, or any other job, your help is appreciated.  We depend on ALL of our members to help our shows run smoothly.  Our John Clark Oil/Clarks Pump N Shop Derby will be held this weekend.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone there and I am sure we will have an awesome Derby.  As usual, many volunteers are needed to keep the show running smoothly so if you find yourself with some extra time we always appreciate the help!  I would also like to thank our trophy sponsors for this year, be sure to check out the website under "Sponsors" for a current list.  See you this weekend!

DERBY HATS - Ball caps will be for sale this weekend at our Derby show, they are great hats, embroidered by Threadventures Embroidery http://www.threadventuresemb.com .  They do awesome work and will be at the show this weekend so check them out for all your custom embroidery needs!

TROPHY DONORS - As everyone knows, we are always looking for sponsors for our trophies and plaques for our shows.  In addition to monetary donations to purchase the trophies, if anyone has any of the new plaques, pewters, or Morrisons they would like to donate, we can use them by just replacing the plate on them with the new name of the show and date.  Please contact Joe Wolfe ljoewolfe@aol.com or Kathy Lopp kathy.lopp@nationalcity.com if you would like to do that.

 YOUTH SHOW - June 6 & 7 will be our 2nd Annual OVRHA Youth Weekend.  Judy Shepherd is in charge of the weekend activities and is looking for sponsors or if anyone would like to donate something for prizes.  This year she plans to have a team tournament so be thinking about teaming up for some fun and prizes.  We will also be having a cookout for everyone at the show.  As things are finalized, I will have more details.  Contact Judy (304) 762-2830 or Kathy Taylor kathy@taylorperformancehorses.com if you would like to donate or help out!  You won't want to miss out on this weekend!!

 DOG RACES - Don't forget the dog races this weekend.  They will be held on Saturday before the Derby.  There will be four divisions, Large, Medium, Small and Corgi with a prize for the winner of each division.  Entry fee is $5 with the money going towards the June Youth Show so get those pooches ready to run!!     (Back to Top)
